This Day in History: 1877-10-02

The newly formed state of Colorado had a ballet measure for female suffrage.  It was agreed that women’s suffrage would be placed on the ballet the year before when other matters were “more important.”  The measure of 1877 failed.  It seems to have failed by a wide margin in Southern Colorado.
