Senator Ferry introduces a resolution proposing an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that suffrage shall not be restricted on account of sex or any other reason that does not apply to all citizens.  Amendments like this are proposed over the years (before and after Senator Ferry’s attempt on this day) to little avail.
